AbsolutionA Poem by shriramWritten by Caitlyn LacovaraWhen
a star collapses Will I go with it
Spiraled
in webs of glittering debris Engulfed
by my own dark matter Forced
to drink a beautiful purple poison
Will I float in an empty sky Starve
in its loneliness Surpass
gravity’s gentle hold on me
Will
my light still reach you Like
all the other sleeping stars Will
I become the center of your universe
Or
lose myself in the stratosphere. © 2017 shriram |
