Last Words (Complete Version)A Poem by Shreyas TripathyEver wondered how a person consoles himself/herself after loss of love ? The heart speaks to us ... ever wondered what could be the its very final words ?
You stabbed, shot and broke my heart
You pulled and pulled, till its ripped apart Into pieces that could never be sewn As I just kept looking on ... You led me on to the hairpin bend Turned away and told me it's the end Left me lost, lonely and undone As I just kept looking on ... I fell to the floor then, powerless I heard your fading footsteps, speechless Then I heard my resentful heart, forlorn "Everything's gonna be fine, she is gone." Like a flower I turned to you, the sun With a dream to feel alive, have fun Behind that sparkle was a knife, should've known As it turned crimson I just looked on ... The power of love is unmatched, I hear It makes you strong and banishes fear Now you've made me believe, your job's done 'Cause you burnt me alive, I just looked on ... Finally I have turned to ashes The feeling of freedom now truly encompasses Then again I hear my resentful heart, forlorn "Everything's gonna be fine, she is gone." Then slowly it twitched and turned Inside of me beating recklessly, unconcerned It spoke to me, the last that I ever heard "Life", who would have thought, was the last word ... © 2013 Shreyas TripathyReviews
