All Night Long

Rain somehow has a deep connection to sadness, love and tears ... here's how I feel about it

This silent night ...stay awake with me
This silent night ...what's it gonna be ?
This silence is strong ... it's holding me back
Just open your eyes ... it's not that dark ...

The wind is strong ... it's a sign you see
Don't go away ... don't you leave me
Now you've gone away ... what do I do ?
I've lost you now ... there's nothing else to lose ...

It started with a tear
of anxiety and fear
It left my eye
It was left to dry
Now it's turned to blood
It's about to flood
Then the rain came along
All night long ...

Wasn't there anything ... nothing left to say ?
Drenched, all wet ... you walked away
Now you're out of sight ... I am hurting deep
I miss you now ... I can hardly sleep ...

I should've known ... these days will end
When the sun goes down ... the dark clouds descend
The thunder, the rain ... this night will never pass
The pain, the tears ... this heart's broken, alas ...

I like the use of rain to express the emotion and the desire in the poem. Rain allowed us to be lock-in with our thoughts and memories. I like the description of sadness and loneliness.
"The thunder, the rain ... this night will never pass
The pain, the tears ... this heart's broken, alas ..."
A strong ending to a excellent poem.
