Autumn's KissA Poem by Augustus
The sun's warmth slowly melts
In Autumn's chill In pale gold hazy belts Over the hill The green leaves swiftly fly To mother Earth In golden hearts to spy Dreams of rebirth The songbirds dance a jig On branches bare Sweet memories of a fig, Perhaps a pear! Night wears a perfumed cloak of blossoms white And glistening dewdrops soak The cold moonlight I walk with her, her hand Is held in mine On Heaven's shore I stand I feel divine I'm wrapped in naked bliss I've naught to say Surreal Autumn's Kiss I'm blown away! © 2011 AugustusFeatured Review
