Words are often needlessA Poem by AugustusThis is an older poem of mine...written a few years ago...found it in one of the orkut communities...so thought of posting it here...Words are often needless Eyes can say so much more A smile can bring much gladness To those whom you adore Words are of dazzling silver But silence made of gold When in some timeless moment A loved one’s hand you hold Words can’t inflict the pain That a loved one’s tears cause Nor can they speak of feelings Beyond linguistic laws By words we’re often shackled Though our hearts can wander And we can’t tell their stories In all their youthful splendour May love pervade the universe Let the world with joy be crowned May souls reach out to souls And our hearts be unbound © 2010 AugustusFeatured Review
