i thought this is what i would call pretty, i liked the way the opposites create very different images in the mind and the contrast is quite stark and left me contemplating the different states of being, how essentially different and yet unique. As a haiku this had just the right balance of image and idea, i very rarely like haiku unless they are done exceptionally well and this was. A lovely poem to discover and enjoy. fantastic.

Wow, what a true testament to so many relationships I know! They say opposites attract, but sometimes one gets the better end of the deal. What a beautiful read. thank you!
... wow ... you play with fire here ... and you play with it exceedingly well ... this is one of the most striking haikus i have ever read ... and this one stays ... i could never forget it ... "fire flirts with ice" is such a striking, captivating, enthralling, dazzling and amazing image ... the alliteration embelishes ... you've weaved a thought that would be a poet's dream ... scintillating ... "in romantic raptures of the Heart" ... again amazing alliteration ... the romance sets the line ablaze ... this is volcanic ... simple and yet so splendid ... "one is quenched, one melts" ... scintillating ... overwhelming ... consuming ... outstanding poetry ... quenches the soul and melts the heart ... astounding poetry ... sensational!!! ...
spectacular, this haiku is! you frame and capture, with sheer brilliance, the immensely powerful emotion of love in, perhaps, it's most extreme themes! "Fire flirts with ice" is a five syllable miracle - it encapsulates the antithetic unlikelihood of romance! to tell a story in three lines and lead to a fascinating, yet, paradoxical climax is a shining proof of your poetic skill! "One is quenched and one melts" is an incredibly profound end to this saga of flames and icicles! exceptional poetic expression and outstanding poetry! it was a joy to read this one!
