Scent of a StrangerA Poem by Shreya DasA waft of breeze touched my face. A puff of scent filled my senses. You brushed my hand, Gently, as you walked passed. I turned. Tranced. Bewitched. My eyes followed. I saw you over those busy shoulders. Your blue shirt. The Khakee pants. I Dazed! I wondered. My heart wandered. Will you care to spare a look at me? Am I benign enough to win your heart? I wondered. I didn’t care. I had felt your warmth. It was You! I Knew! and so my heart wandered, I wondered! What it would be to hold your hand and sit by the river, to soak our feet with the cold water. to shed a few tears over your shoulders to sleep a peaceful sleep in your arms. I squandered. All I know is that it is you! You are the One! You may ignore, but I will keep your scent, your warmth forever, in my soul. © 2015 Shreya DasFeatured Review
