Elude reality

Elude reality

A Poem by Sulabh Shrestha

From vein it runs to my heart

Grief pumps it to every part

Come near as my senses depart

Hopeful me with questions to impart.

If I open my eyes

Would it end like a nightmare?

If I hide under blanket

Would it protect me from despair?

If I get back in time

Would your fragrance return in air?

If I walk up to you

Would you break from your sepulcher?

You shake your head side to side

To reach to you, in sleep I reside

All day long, in this corner I hide

And in dreams I choose to confide.

This is nice. I did not like the first part, but the second where the questions lie was my best of it all.
