What Have I Done?

What Have I Done?

A Poem by PJ

What Have I Done?

Screeching tires, shattering glass

Twisting metal, fiber glass

The scene is set, it all goes black

The curtian raised, the final act

Sirens raging in the night

Sounds of horror, gasps of fright

Intense pain, the smell of blood

Tearing eyes begin to flood,

When I ralize it's mine

I look around and see the mess of my friend,

Bloody and gone hopefully to a better place

I have no clue whats going on

I see police every where, with doctors

Taking my friends body, taking....my body away

I follow the doctors to the hospital, confused and scared

"Dead" is the only thought going through my mind right now

*

My mother and father meet the police at the front door with red rimmed eyes

"I'm sorry Mr.and Mrs. Jones, but i'm afraid your daughter had a car accident this morning," Says Bernie

"Is she ok, where is she?" Says my mom franticaly

" Her best friend Clover and her died from drunk driving, she was the driver."

I watch my mother fall into my fathers arms with tears flowing one after the other.

They slowly turn around and go back inside.

What have I done? What have I done?

I made my best friend loose her life and I lost mine too.

What have I done?

An intense flow of scene and image, emotionally charged, bringing across a dynamic and tragic moment.

Nicely woven!
