Nightmare to Reality

Nightmare to Reality

A Poem by Jennifer Warnock
"

It speaks for itself

"

The truth of the unspoken,
the greater fear
of the fearless.
The nightmares
that will become reality.
The worse things that come
when so unsuspected.
The darkest shadow
creeping upon the unarmed.
No fear of death,
but what may come before.
Prone to the pain
that others have inflicted.
No reason to hold onto anything
the world has to deal out.
Unsure of many things,
but always looking for what is real.
Try to come into the light,
but always starting in the dark.
Hoping that the next nightmare
dare not to come true.
The worst fear peeking around the corner,
waiting it's turn.
The unbalanced way of life,
the realistic points of view
from an artistic soul.
An old soul
that just searches for peace
between the two worlds.
Figuring what is real
from what is just a nightmare.
The truth of the destiny
of the artistic old soul.
Searches for the balance
in a world of confusion.
Unsure of the future,
hopeful for the nightmares to end.
In a search for the truth
of what is to become.

this is absolutely metaphorically devised and draws toughts to delving, depthful pondering,
I think each analogy opens thoughts up and add precise detail to the overall image of perspecive,
the title speaks valumes, this is what I would call pure poetry, awsome job!

The truth of the destiny
of the artistic old soul.
Searches for the balance
in a world of confusion.

So long as they exist, we'll always be dealing with uncertainty. I think this elaborates the thought about fear of the unknown. Such is a powerful piece.
