A poem for mother's Day

A poem for mother's Day

A Poem by Kincaid Kjeedo
"

This sounds like a card from Hallmark headquarters itself, but believe it or not, I wrote it.

"

On the days of May, from the flowers

That sprung from the April rain,

There lies a day where we celebrate

A woman's spectacular pain.

Of waiting for 3/4's of a year,

To recognize she had fear,

That what her child's life may be

To hope to live so that she may see,

The growth of a boy or girl

Created by man and woman, Mother Nature

And Father World.

She cared for us when we had scrapped knees,

When we got stung by Bumble-y Bees.

For tummyaches and 1st day of school blues,

For feeding time and how to tie shoes.

Though we may cause them much grief

In many ways,

In others we grant her

Happy days.

How she means much to us in many ways,

We celebrate our Ma'am's, Moms, Mamas and Mothers,

On a very festive Mother's day.
