jack daniels

A Poem by shoepolish
"

sorry but i have to pay tribute to my closest friend

"

good ol' jack daniels

never failed me

when i have a bad day

he likes to rub my feet

he makes me smile

he makes me dance

he lets me enjoy

a little romance

he's the best

 i've ever had

smooth and delicious

eager and glad

he comes all the way

from tennessee

born and bred

just for me

soooooo, good ol' jack daniels

he lets me be me

good ol' jack daniels

he's always

theeeerrrrrreeeee

forrrrrrrrrrrr

me!

olay!

Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel (1850 1911), was the founder of Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey distillery. Jack died from blood poisoning at Lynchburg, Tennessee in 1911. The infection allegedly started in a toe, which he injured by kicking his safe in anger, because he couldn't get it open one morning (he always had trouble remembering the combination). Personally, I think he was only after a bottle of his 'special reserve'.

This is a great piece of light relief and poetically humorous work; wonderful read (hic hic) cheers - for the shot of the good stuff!

It's lovely. I love this write, and I love how it is a tribute. I love this line, "when i have a bad day
he likes to rub my feet"
