some things cant be forgiven

i wish you would just look at me

the way you always have

i know things have changed since then

and that just makes me sad

 

i want to see you smile at me

i want to hear you talk

i see you when you go past me

but all you do is walk

 

i know ive done a really bad thing

im not expecting much

and if i could id take it all back

and never bring it up

 

i beg you, please, with all my heart

please just turn around

can't you see me groveling?

 my knees are on the ground

 

im too late that much i know

you didn't turn around

now here i lay, in this here dirt

I agree with Mr. Dickens. You should not be laying in the dirt. Everyone, no matter thier crime deserves a second chance. The poem is wonderfully written. I am not sure I like the flow in the fourth stanza but I really like the wording as it is so it evens it out well. Very well done.
