                                    Confidence

 

O, but with fire I walked

sparks released

with every step I took

time ceased

 

I was then and there

confident

as graceful as a gazelle

confident

 

But, is it really true?

(the fire grows smaller)

am I good enough?

(the flames go out)

 

I trip and stumble

twitch and mumble

feeling like a bumble

for having doubted myself
