Eternal Monologues

Eternal Monologues

A Poem by shoaib rafi

I wish
I could write down everything,
Eternal monologues in the darkest corners of my mind.
About my existential angst,
About the constant urge to end it all,
About my deal with the devil,
Where I exchanged
My happiness, smile, and joy
For melancholy, agony, and love.
I was cursed to be a lover
Whose love dies in the end.
I wish
I could write about you,
About your seduction and my surrender,
About your hair dancing along with the wind from the south,
The wind that shakes the barley.
I want to write about you
More intensely, more passionately, more vigorously,
I would talk about you
More than a lover should talk
About his love.
