Speaking Tattoos

Speaking Tattoos

A Poem by shevon

Her skin was less compared to beauty,

it was so disfigured with a whole bunch of tattoos,

Her smile was always of pain and sorrow:

When she used to walk that pave,

That`s a freak, what scorn and shame;

Were some of the insults she had bared..

Seen as an outcaste of society, she was banned from some public utilities..

No one not even me dared to see the message this poor woman was trying to share,

--For every tattoo showed the pain:

of a battered woman,

a homeless teen,

an isolated girl,

an abandoned child.....

She stood there before hot blazing heat and with bravery began her speech,

Giving everyone especial me the insights of what her tattoos means....

Like everyone I was quite with shame,

To have heard this tattooed  woman story of pain....
