Autumn evening

Autumn evening

A Poem by Daniela Leça

A long time ago,
 On a dark Winter night,
You had me under your sight.
I used to lay back and stare at the stars, wondering about life.
I didn't knew I had someone looking up on me all the time.
Looking at the vastness of the black sky and stars,
The insignificance of being,
The insignificance of life.
Alone, but not that alone.
Someone was looking up on me and I didn't know.
I've killed you in one of my dreams.
Long time has passed.
The void that I felt only grew in size.
You're not here anymore. I'm all alone...
In this autumn evening I look at the sky and smile,
Because I know you are real.
The wind gives me the illusion that you're here with me.
I don't feel alone anymore.
