Hitori

Hitori

A Poem by Daniela Leça

I know how you feel
I'm also dead inside
What is the point in being alive?
Scratching my skin
There is something I'm missing
That I need to find
What is it?
Is there any point in being alive?
Searching, but my eyes are too blind...
Is it here?
Or somewhere far behind?
The answer must be in my mind
But is there any point in being alive?
Searching for something
Something I'll never find...

Hitori... what a lonely place... a wandering place... and your questions flow like such haunted echoes of a soul that cannot find a home, Daniela. So painful to read for I lived much of my life in that world alone. Powerfully spoken, and I so hope you're finding your answers, dear poet.
