Underneath Her SKin

She sits outside
and starts to write,
to a love that she tries to erase
but can't escape.
To learn that he has found
someone new
hurts her bleeding heart,
for he has made
a profound mark,
underneath her skin.
And even though
time has moved along,
she still sits and awaits
his return,
for his warm embrace
still lingers...
underneath her skin.

It needs to be Skin
with out a capital K
