Someday

All we can do is keep on dreaming...and waiting for someday

Someday I will know how to get by
someday I will know the answer to "why?"
Someday I'll understand myself,
someday you'll understand me.
Some days just seem like hell.
some days I feel alone
Someday I'll learn to say goodbye,
to the memories of the past.

Some days I'm blind,
some days I just like to hide.
Someday you'll remember about me
and find out how much it hurts.
Some days are blue,
and some days are grey.
This someday seems so far, far away.

Some days I'll smile,
and some days I won't.
One day you're happy,
the next your gone.
Can you tell me what went wrong?

Some days I'll wait,
but sometimes I can't.
Some days go slow,
but time goes so fast.
One day you said,
"This is gonna last."

Someday you'll realize,
how much I love you...
And someday I will be free,
to fly out of my misery.
But, until then I will wait
for someday...

i really like this poem. i can relate. i know what its like to hang on day after day wondering if the other shoe is going to drop and you get crushed and heartbroken. well written.

I really like the optimism, yet the sarcastic undertone to this poem.
Very well written, and reflects the authors true search for answers.
Something that I like within the words is the irony that while one is waiting, so much happens, that we are all made to think about how the days just went by. :)
