You light up my day 

with a simple smile, 

a chuckle under your breath. 

Tonight, 

I just wanna see you 

and be with you 

together, 

but I know 

that you 

have no feelings for me 

and never will do, 

so I'll back off 

if that's what you want 

because I only want you 

to be happy 

and If you are 

I could say 

I am too...

This poem captures a feeling that I and I'm sure many, many other people are extremely familiar with. There is a very nice contrast with the first part and the want and the second and the reality of never getting your own's hearts desires. I'm just all in all really impressed with how well you captured how much someone else can control our happiness in a short poem.
