Color of Impossible

Color of Impossible

A Poem by Victoria G

What is a thing that can’t be done?

Is its color the shimmering gold of the sun?

Or maybe it’s something unfathomably deep,

Like the moon glinting off the blue of the sea.

Is it an electric orange that’s blindly bright?

Or is it the heavy black cloak of the night?

Is it something that makes you laugh in your tears,

Like rose or chartreuse that’s bursting with cheer.

Is it gray like a building that’s towering tall?

Or is it brown like a bug that’s impossibly small?

Maybe it’s a hue on a rainbow or a clown,

But I think the color of impossible has yet to be found.

I like the pulse and rhyme of this piece. I love the question and their use of things in reality. But the last line was my favorite as indeed, the impossible color has not yet shown itself to the tenacity of mankind.

Fantastic Poem!
