Worlds Crying

We go about our daily lives…

Unaware of the danger looming overhead.

Can you hear it?

If you could you would surely go mad.

 

The worlds crying!

Screaming in fever!

Open your ears and you will hear them…

The hoof beats…

War,Plauge,Famine and Death.

Raging across the land.

Do you see the soldiers, broken and weary.

Going to kill the children of a foreign land.

Were you there when people died by the thousands.

So much, that there was no one to bury the dead.

Piles of bodies in the streets.

I know you’ve seen the children of the far off lands.

Sitting in the dirt.

Stomachs swollen with hunger.

Death rides behind us, catching our souls.

He will ride til all the screams are suddenly silenced.

Can you hear it?

I know you can see it!

The worlds screaming.

Trying to warn us.

Go ahead, close your ears, plug them…

Soon the volume will destroy you.

These lines mostly, and the others, shout the way we see the world some days. And though world hunger is inevitably here, we must acknowlege the bad and make it right.

pheeeeeeeeeeeew! i would die if i heard all of the cries. i would probably be overhwelmed. thank god my keen sense isn't hearing its smell o know weird but it sucks cause at the same time i smeel the polution an i caugh so much! excellent poem!
