Love Letter

Love Letter

A Poem by Shimmering Lights
"

"
Crumbled papers lie on the floor
The sound of a pencil scribbling on paper is heard
A groan of annoyance
Another paper tossed on the ground

The words couldn't form
They wouldn't sound right
Why was it so hard for him to tell her
That he loved her?

Wow! Loved it..
1st of all it brought me to another time when love letters were written and crumbled...not emailed and deleted...it's been so long...
2nd I liked the way the way it became a third person write...or at least it felt that way...How did she know what he was doing or how he felt....?
more than meets the eye here..
Excellent "almost" love letter Jessica
Terrific write

this piece has a skilled brevity, good use of language, and an ample maneuvering of subject matter through use of tone. nice work, and welcome to this site.
