Ocean Depths

Ocean Depths

A Poem by Shimmering Lights

"
The music pours out of the speakers
The notes wrap themselves around her.
They soak her,
making her clothes heavy, dragging her into the depths of the melodic ocean.

She doesn't fight for air.
She doesn't reach for the surface;
she just holds herself tightly and let herself be pulled down.

The water fills her lungs,
fills her being.

She accepts it and sinks to the ocean floor.
