Why do funerals bury family

Why do funerals bury family ?

seating here wondering if it was just my grandma who die

or everyone else jumped in the casket right along with her

it's a shame to think before she died everyone was happy

everyone was talking, everyone was everyone

but when she died so did the family

no one talks anymore, if they do is because someone else died

what makes us put up a wall and say i'll never call

did you think that she would be here to group us all

I buried my grandma and everything had fall

you can't get people at all

reaching out to family when times gets tough is like reaching for a knife

that is standing sharp part first and isn't dull at all

can you see why I am so concern, this happen years ago but 

my family is buried with her I know this is all

nothing out of place except her wishes that we stay

but guess what grandma we packed our things and hightailed it to the mall

I remember when I could call on you and say my family 

is grouped together that no one can break us apart 

but when you died but when you died it was like

you held a piece of the string and pulled it as the 

funeral pallor lowered you in the ground

it unraveled and unraveled until there was nothing at all

WAIT!!

Doesn't this happen to everybody?

fighting over money

fighting over houses, cars and things that didn't belong to you in the first place

I would say why are we so divided in our own homes

if you are angry at the president for fighting and taking your sons and daughters away

don't be because when your gone right in your own 

backyards they will be fighting anyways

am I harsh maybe, but look at the facts can you honestly say

that the funeral didn't bury your whole family that day

you won't even call to congratulate your family for new births

or just to say hey

what makes your family worth holding onto if there is no love in it to 

hold it together

if I was and outsider I could come tare it apart and you wouldn't even miss it 

because you would be so busy worried about yourselves to notice it all

be logical people that is why we kill each other because 

we are so happy with being to ourselves and not 

calling for the holidays or 

just saying hi or  just because

well maybe your family is like the Brady bunch but mines isn't 

and you know I can't get them to call me, just to say hi

when I close my book of old family photos I realize that 

family isn't really family but just people who were born

into it by one man and one women who said this is your aunt or this 

is your uncle well I say to them

Why do funerals bury family because as of right now the only family 

I got isn't in different states but the ones 

that I have grown in my belly and my mother 

and when she goes I will make it my duty that my kids will 

group and say...

WAIT!!! WAIT!! bring her back up she has a string hanging from her

pulling and pulling and noticing their family 

They will know that! I promise you that!

my kids will not let funerals take anymore of my family! 

I can't do anything about the family I have already lost but 

If I die they are not going to let funerals bury them, 

bury them along no they will be called family because the definition of family

 means:

A basic social unit consisting of parents and their children,considered as a group, 

whether dwelling together or not: the traditional family.

I very much feel you on this.Not only funerals but just leaving the nest and going out on your own will often detach us from friends and family.Seems that my family only got together during funerals.Well presented my friend

Thank you for your read honestly I have been battling with excepting that I have lost so many family members just because of the same reason but writing this was just a reminder for myself just make sure my kids don't do it because right now that's all I got. Which is so said it's what's happening now
