Angel of Light

Just a poem someone i know inspired me to write

A mask covers
my pain and sorrows
A fake happiness defines my life
A longing for him
Keeps me awake
Standing tall
Behind this mask
I am consumed by the shadows
created by hate
I hide a desire for him
Though i'm stil reaching out to his light
It seems though a mask of fake happiness is tied around my miserable self
Everything is gone, everything stops
When he's around
Still craving for love
That only this angel can give
i can't recieve it
I ask myself "whats the point of living"
If im hiding and running
Being miserable and un changeble
and falling into sin's tricks
Only if this angel of light
would see the darkening oras
Emitting from me
I would be saved

what I get from this piece as I read on is the pain and sadness you are suffering and you're crying out for hope to be rescued by some divine force being the angel of light.

... your poems talks about the gloominess that surrounds us in our lives but in the end you make your poem hopeful - which I liked the most. I think once we fall to the lowest points of life, we always should rise.. Cause there is more to life then just to live in dejection. Good poem, thanks for sharing.
