Lost from myself

As time moves forward, you seem to forget who you were and the people around you.

Sometimes the light i follow seems to fade away,
For some reason i feel so hollow,
When the light hits my face.
I cant find where im going,
I cant see the signs,
No one is here to help me,
Why am i so blind?
The pain comes back,
Shoots through my heart,
Time is fading fast,
I cant seem too find myself
But there is no turning back.
Black is all that covers my past,
I cant seem to remember.
I walk through these crowed streets,
trying to find an answer,
But nothing is coming to me,
Nothing will spark my memory,
As i just walk on into forever.
The pain comes back,
Shoots through my heart,

I cant seem to find myself,
But there is no turning back,
I look at myself in the mirror,
trying reconize my face,
i dont reconize anything,
nothing is the same.

Simple.Grieving loss of oneself can feel like wandering. Wander searching without result can be exhausting. Thank you for sharing your words. These particular poems appeal to me on many levels.
