A Poem by Shifra

Here In the wild we are free
beautiful and dangerous.
We have an endless freedom
as GREAT  as it is
inexhaustible, consisting of spirit and youthfullness
yet bound by the seemingly dark innevitability of death...........and
......thus illuminated by the glorious art and cycle of birth and rebirth.

We float like dandelion seeds adrift and helpless to the ever changing mood swings of the winds
armed with a purpose
 gifted with a view.

In the wild we have insatiable desires
the desire to play.....feed....f**k....fight..LOVE..protect and be protected.

In the wild we are free
We are everything and nothing in an instant.
Here in the wild we are human
we suffer no loss
yet are subjected to the pains of change
Here In the wild
we suffer loss
and are enlighted by the powers of change
Here in the wild we are human

....adrift in a boundless ocean of dreams
with an insatiable hunger for knowledge
..................................adrift like dandelion seeds.

This poem has a strong sense of mood. I think the poet went on a camping trip in deep nature with a close friend -- and did a good job capturing the atmosphere that enveloped them.

What a wonderfully delightful poem. I really liked these lines:

'yet bound by the seemingly dark innevitability of death...........and......thus illuminated by the glorious art and cycle of birth and rebirth.'

Death is a part of life, it is a dark reality that we all must come to accept someday. This is a truly beautiful poem!
