Lemming

Lemming

A Chapter by Tim M

Coiled my tail and sold it all to you
The lie inside of every word I've told you
That I am just another proverb
Arranging colors that will never be

Sold my soul to take another picture
Of the world that's seen only through your eyes
The ignorance of suburbia engulfs
The hearts of men not wanting to be slaves

In this hazy light
They will never recognize
The apple falls close to the tree
In this hazy light
They will never recognize
That I've been slumming with the servantry
It's just like me

I killed your god to take his throne and scepter
Cracking gems and iron sulfide tremors
Just another martyr on a stick
Screaming, "Put me down," while you lift him high

In this hazy light
They will never recognize
The apple falls close to the tree
In this hazy light
They will never recognize
That I've been slumming with the servantry
It's just like me

In this hazy light
They will never recognize
That I've been slumming with the servantry
It's just like me
