Ballyhoo

Ballyhoo

A Poem by Tim M

Coattails and finely shined shoes dance in a tight knit sway
That moves the wooden floors
In delectable waves
All the energy of an evening in the space of a turn of the heel
Candelabra shadow puppets tell stories in flickered nuances
Twice when two men leading touch shoulders
They are beholden with all the serendipity of their lives
In a back step and a friendly laugh
