Bedtime

Bedtime

A Poem by Danielle

We dream these dreams we do
A nightmare for you, perhaps two

Shadows dance among the silvery moonlight
Monsters cry all through the ebony night

Stories are told to ease the children's soul
Adults play their bedtime role

Majestic creatures place a spell upon you
Innocent hearts and innocent minds once true

Laying a weary head to rest
Nighttime does its best

To innocently tease
Forbidden fantasies

This is a wonderful poem!
'Shadows dance among the silvery moonlight
Monsters cry all through the ebony night'
I loved these lines!

Really loved the flow, and I think there is a the mysterious feel, something more to do with the night life and it seems to be you have successfully told the "darkness" of the night, and mixed it all with a touch of humour. Brilliant!!

i like the picture you've painted here. just one suggestion. instead of 'golden moonlight' try using 'silvery moonlight' because that gives a better feel. but it's your poem, so... you can do it however you want. lol!
