Freed

Freed

A Poem by Danielle

A longing need to be

Freed

Of the passing years

Freed

Of a life that I have carried

Within

A silent rage burning upon this page

The love, has it been real

The pain I too often feel

The very need to heal

Freed of the mask I wear

Do I dare

Another beautiful poem. I like this line -"A silent rage burning upon this page" I think it summaries the meaning of this poem. Well done.

Oh that mask, it has adorned all of our faces in many guises

Wow, I really like this. It's short, but deep. It's simple, but powerful. I love the words you use and it has an intriguing flow. Nice poem if I do say so myself. And I do. :)
