Chained Spirit

Chained Spirit

A Poem by Danielle

A crimson delight breaks free upon an ebony night

Passion intertwined with rage held captive upon this cage

Lovers reveal the desire to kill, the longing to heal

The magic of fantasy becomes all to real to feel

They speak with silent tongues, sing with charcoal lungs

Angels disguise upon shaded eyes

Myths in the night sparkle free reavealing the all encompassing skeleton key

Antique gypsies dance among painted stars embracing their scars

Twinkling fairies buzz about without any doubt

The color of hooded thieves in the night come into sight

Reminiscing of long ago when thee did not have a wretched soul

Too heavy a chained spirit can be, they plea to break free ever so silently
