Allegiance Through Time

for once its easy to draw the line
i longed for you through space and time
i found the missing piece i lost
though sands of time kept passing by
the amber burst to auburn glow
and passed the wickedness of hades wrath below
to bind the path of least resistance
and for once beneath the crimson hue
we partake in birth of love anew
and vow to this our solemn prayer
the darkest of nights despair
shall bring to us dawns trusted verse
of a new morn of happiness
quenching our dying thirst
of kindred spirits cast aside
on separate walls of earth and dust
to unite in liquid hearth sublime
the light of which will outshine
the rough grains of mortal hour
shall cast its dim shade on our path
for we were born at first sight of each other
and will abide to ticking time
but only for this brief moment
