Nonsense

Nonsense

A Poem by sherra.

Cookies and cream eat at my spleen.

Re-fried rice is a sacrifice.

Dirty feet don't smell so sweet.

The beautiful snow covers the floor like a sheet.

The girl weeps as her heart sleeps.

I liked everything except the last two lines. It got too realistic and drew away from the nonsensical. I do like that you changed your mind on it not having meaning because basically, you can tell people to not make sense or work something out as much as you want, but that won't stop human conditioning. It's what we do, us humans. We need to analyze and figure things out.

Nonetheless, I adore the first three lines, the first two in particular. "Re-fried rice is a sacrifice" is honestly one of the best things I've heard in a while. Truly hilarious and very postmodern. Well done with those.
