Say anything.

Say anything.

A Poem by Shae

I wish your eyes would stop yelling at me,
telling me to look and to see you,
I can see perfectly into that trap you’ve laid out for me,
because your mouth doesn’t speak the same words your eyes do.

Your eyes invite me to exotic places and moments of serenity,
but your mouth doesn’t even own a passport and waves a rebel flag,
and I could probably love you with all of my entity,
but what’s the point if your mouth can’t see what you have.

Thank You Jimmy!
Wow. So much emotion portrayed here. Isn't' it agonizingly frustrating when people don't speak from their hearts. Great message, great poem. Thanks for sharing :)

Its so frustrating lol !Thank you for your review!
Words and actions. Hard to combine sometime. Take two to tangle but take one must offer a invitation. Nice tale in the poem with a sad ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome.
Seems the eyes and the mouth so often say different words... and which, which, which does one believe?!
Perhaps both sender and receiver need know the truth from somewhere inside rather than outside to be sure. Your phrasing is quite mysterious, are you questioning or answering.. not sure which and you know, and i so like that!

the eyes are definitely the windows to the soul...i believe the eyes speak volumes and often the mouth might think better of opening at all.

i really like the line about the passport and rebel flag...very innovative.

Hmm, much like me. Too expressive in my face and not quite enough in my voice, so I write .
