INFERNO

INFERNO

A Poem by Kopa...

Beyond dark clouds, around dark corners
in its shade stood them all,
whalings upon whalings flew from their lungs,
in all sincerity as they cried, no fakes dwelth herein...
as the air became hotter, so these beigns grew in pain,
fulfilling the spoken words of the men from time,
upon crossed mountains they had defilled themselves,
upon sacred doctrines falsehood had been created,
those, as their days were filled with pleasure,
 pleasure without end, but herein,
 pleasure seemed far fetched,
still, not the tiniest of it came forth to appease these beigns...

As the days never came, so joy and fulfilment vanished with the wind,
from the dark they crawled, journey of the unknown...
without the luxury of light they lived,
For no more shall their days bore happiness,
pain and sorrow they had inherited.

Putting Dante into a short poetry is impossible. You did create thoughts and reality in the poem.
"For no more shall their days bore happiness,
pain and sorrow they had inherited."
The above line is true. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
