I'm Sorry, My Friend

Choosing a guy over a good friend is stupidest mistake a girl can make.

In our lives, we will regret,

If only we could press ‘reset’.

Right now I’m going to try explain,

Why I broke your heart again.

 

You know my secrets and you’d never tell,

You always pick me up each time I fell.

You hold my hand when I get scared,

And when I tear, you’d always have a hug prepared.

 

In spite it all, I grazed your heart,

I made your cry, tore you apart.

I didn’t trust someone who cared,

Yet, I trusted a foolish guy instead.

 

Blinded by love, I left you behind,

I didn’t know a friend like you was hard to find.

But when he left, you waited by the fences,

Somehow you’re never out of second chances.

 

Each of us has made mistakes,

But until now, my heart still aches.

The things I said I can’t take back,

And what I’ve done got me off track.

 

So now, with deepest sincerity,

I’d just like to say that I’m sorry.

You’re a true friend, I really love you,

I pray somehow, you still love me too.

 

So this is my apology,

I’m not asking for any sympathy.

But I hope you’d open up your heart,

And let us have a brand new start.

I wrote this for my 4 of my bestest friends. They help me out a lot, and yet I trusted my boyfriend, who turned to be a jerk. This is written to to tell them that I'm sorry.

OH, I understand. I think your four best friend will be good friends of you in no time. If they are truly your friends, they WILL forgive you! Love IS Blind, it's pretty common in your situation, but there's no need to be guility of sad. Everyone DO Make mistakes. I love your poem on how you express your feelings.
