The Sun is a Bright Reminder
11/24/16

The sun rises and sets for you.
I have no regrets it's true.

The wind came over me like a cold blanket.
The snow falls like tears.

I wanted to be that special someone.
You could look up to me.

But I fell over the cliff and it wasn't meant to be.

So I climb back up cause I was taught to fight back.
I took all my strength to make all I lack.

We had a love that I thought was real.
We had a metal that I thought was steel.

Let me be what I am supposed to be.
Why don't you support me?

Sometimes it won't last. Most times it is our torturous past.

I know my faults stand out.
they scream and meander about.

But I know my heart. And I know yours.
I know the ocean loves the shores.

So we can wait and see what the future brings.
And I will give you many precious things.

I won't give up or think it's wrong.
We will own a beautiful song.

It is not easy to give up on love.
The determination and hope that is expressed in this poem send a very positive message.

Beautiful and entertaining read my friend! Glad to see you wrote something new. Keep up the good work!

So many great lines, all of them really, but these caught my attention greatly :)

Strength and determination not to give up on love stand out to me in this poem. As does the note of hope at the end. Well done!

One thing to edit is that you have "steal" where it should be "steel."
