Candle light

Never was one to cry.

Thought that it was a sign of weakness.

But in the candle light tears fall.

I know I ended the realtionship

But the love...that will NEVER end.

Candle light is the only place I feel safe.

I cry and cry.

Until I fall asleep from exhaustion.

Night after night

In the candle light.

I will lay here an cry.

I still am trying to bring myself to happiness, so yes I will be love sick and sappy for a while. Sorry if you do not enjoy them. Give me "healing" time.

What I like about this poem is how unashamed it is of expressing feeling, no holding back. The capitalized 'NEVER' really captures that deep rooted indignation you get when you're young and in love. This is good, doesn't pretend to be something it's not.
