COLD

This poem describes how is can be depressing and cold when ou get deep down in your spirits

Buried deep beneath the snow,

A darkened portal waits below.

In the cold, where shadows creep,

I’ve heard the whispers, secrets keep.

Hope drifts away, like haunting sighs,

Lost in silence, where warmth dies.

Nothing I know feels brave or bright,

All is a shroud in the endless night.

I think it's an interesting metaphor to relate rough patches and being down in the dumps with snow. Here's hoping for warmer days and for melted snow, be it metaphorical or literal.
