thats where the balance liesA Poem by sheerpoetrylost lovehe said things to me like your a queen and treated me like royalty tellin me i was a richeous sister exotic in a way it made him feel like a gift had been placed in his hands just to see me smile and he didnt deserve it im just a simple man he said and when i tried to explain that if i reguard him in the same fashion because we share the same passion for things in life that lie below the surface you know we both deep then thats where the balance lies and in turn he said to me I AM JUST A SIMPLE MAN u deserve so much more in my eyes your level is evn more elevated than what was previously stated in this verse not a queen ruling on this earth but the mother of the universe and i am but a pebble a mere grain of sand i can barley at this point call myself a man IM NOT i said Im ordinary and plain so i tryied my best from then on out to prove we were the same I talked about my flaws even let him see them just looking for acceptance trying not too be him but a mirrored version so we would fit but our flaws didnt match in a way that would make my reflection his perfection so ultimatly i became less regal in his eyes left abandoned and to cry when i asked why BECAUSE your not the queen i thought you was © 2009 sheerpoetry |
