When Hutles Flow pt 5

A Story by Shelly Bell

“What are those…” “X pills, genius!” “uh…I don’t want to mess with that” Connie replied. From under her other breast Kelly pulled a stack of 100’s. Connie’s eyes lit up. “Now I heard your old man was locked up” If you really want to get him a good lawyer you need to start using the hustling skills he gave you, stack some dough.” “How does this work?” Connie inquired. “90% of the girls and the customer in here are on this s**t” Kelly laughed. “When they come to the bar they will order a special drink called the Mickey. When they order it you get them a bottle of water which is $1, when they give you the money you take $15 for the pill and a $1 for the water, put the $1 in the register and as you hand them the water position your hand with the pill in it as you grip the water. They will grab the water with one hand on top and one on the bottom, you let go and they catch the X. Now this has to happen real fast” Kelly explained. “uh ok,” I think I got it. Here take 5, get them sold, you get $6 off of each pill you sell.

You give the rest to me at the end of the night. As Kelly is giving Connie the 5 pills, the middle stall opens, Keymani exits the stall wiping her mouth, MeMe follows, Connie moved closer to the counter for them to pass as if to prevent them from touching her because she was disgusted. Connie, took the pills and returned to the bar. She did want to get Jacob a good lawyer, but she could careless about that right now. She wanted more and more money for herself. She was nervous while serving the next few customers however none of them ordered the special drink so she relaxed. Then, a call to the bar by a dancer, Ay Connie can I have a Mickey. She looked puzzled for a minute until the dancer brought her back to reality, you know a Mickey that special drink you be making me, Kelly told me to get it from you, the dancer explained waving the money around in the air. Connie got the bottle of water, gripped it with the pill and handed it to the dancer. “Oh keep the change hun” she yelled as she handed her $16.

The club was so busy that Connie didn’t have much time to think about what she was really doing, she just kept moving. If anyone ordered a Mickey she new exactly what to do, at the end of the night she gave Kelly her split and left. Getting home that night was different from all of the other nights. She spread her money on the bed and she had about $600. Connie took a shoe box and put the money up. When Sunday morning came she could hardly move she was so tired. Her son tried to wake her up, ma! Come on get up! I am hungry….working two jobs was not as easy as she had thought...
