Tired and Hopeless

Tired and Hopeless

A Poem by shayne
"

A tiny rant on feeling unimportant / unnecessary / disposable

"
I walked through the halls, unnoticed
I spoke a few words but there was silence
I was trying to tell other souls:
Come save me
There isn't anyone in the world
Strong enough to do it

Time crawls too slowly
When I need it to hasten up
Others kept on moving
While my fatigue held me down
I was trying to scream for help
Wishing for someone to give a hand

From the floor I watch others live
Having another hand to grasp
When their motions stood too still
And when their strength wasn't enough
I would have wanted my own hand
To give hope and make me feel

Days became years
And the trust and hope had faded
Though I want them to stand still
An immobile me wasn't too important
A world without me
Could be a world, nevertheless

I used to feel this a lot and I know your pain. My hand is here as well friend.

For the poem, I liked it because it got the point across clearly; but I think it could be improved with some different word choice or maybe some rhyme.

I especially liked the ending. Keep writing!

my hand is yours if ever you need it, my strength may not be enough, but together we are stronger

I think you are a good writer, glad to find you in this world
