Farewell

Farewell

A Poem by Shayna
"

From early '07.

"

"Farewell"

The hollow word echoes in her mind.

"Farewell"

His last words spoken; her last words heard.

"Farewell"

The tears blind her, but nothing blinds her mind from the sight of him, riding into the distance on horseback, ready to fight a hopeless battle.

"Farewell"

The only thing she remembers.

Because "I'll see you again" is worse than

"Farewell" when

"Farewell" is the only truthful thing said.

About
Ever since I was a kid, I loved two things: reading and writing. I read as much as I could and wrote stories that generally weren't good. As I got older, though, I got better and soon learned to write.. more..
