Saliva

Saliva

A Poem by Shayna
"

If you don't get it, try thinking a little harder, 'kay? 'Kay. Written after staring at the roof of the high school and thinking more about what a roof is and can be. Written: May 24, 2008.

"

I'm on this roof again.
It is familiar, much too familiar.
Is it a bad thing?
Is this a bad idea?

Oh, but this is the best part, where I
Get past these fears.
I casually drift across the roof and
Here is where I finally let myself go.
I'm going to fall so very hard.
But am I scared? - Ha!

This is it.
This is where I give myself up to

The kiss.

About
Ever since I was a kid, I loved two things: reading and writing. I read as much as I could and wrote stories that generally weren't good. As I got older, though, I got better and soon learned to write.. more..
