Freehand

A Poem by Shayna
"

Written in a field by the high school. Inspired by what I saw and felt. Written: May 16, 2008.

"

Freehand sketches of glorious romance,
The tell-tale lies of honest tongues.
Hiding in green meadows, the closest mimicry of somewhere alive,
these dying grassy plains with busy, eager, thirsty appetites
   and hard-treading toes.
Back to nature.
Back to the wind.

About
Ever since I was a kid, I loved two things: reading and writing. I read as much as I could and wrote stories that generally weren't good. As I got older, though, I got better and soon learned to write.. more..
