Worlds Apart, But A Dream AwayA Poem by Shayla SayerWorlds Apart, But a Dream Away Kisses in the dark You lay alone, alone What is to be done When beside you the sheets are cold? What is to be said When time is short And all you really want to do Is hold them? Words fail me ME"the one who can heal a hurt With nothing but words And a perfectly structured sentence. But I run out of things to say And then you’re gone again. I’m sick of looking at the stars all alone Do they look the same, where you are? Kisses in the dark A shadow embrace warms me. You’re always worlds apart But only a dream away. I walk through each day In a broken-spirited daze But at night my eyes close" Total blackness, total fear Until your voice reminds me in the black That I am loved, so loved. So kiss me here, in the dark Because you’re the reason I dream. By: Shayla Sayer © 2012 Shayla SayerFeatured Review
