Crack a GrinA Poem by Shayla Sayera smile that means nothing.Crack a Grin You smile, and I have to as well The tears flow, but cannot be seen The wounds heal, but continue to bleed Success is only gained Through another’s failure. I sit here, instead Stagnant and waiting For my mask to crack So I can fix it again" I cling to a lie I created. The happiness tastes stale I must craft a new emotion For the world to see… For the world to see… For the world to believe is real. I mold the clay" Tears and dust" And form my mask anew Content, I sit back, adjust the fit, And begin to smile at you. By: Shayla Sayer © 2012 Shayla SayerReviews
